Where in the world is AMO? (Part II: It’s live!)

Pushed out the DNS changes to addons.mozilla.org about 36 minutes ago. Those of you on the other side of the planet should see much improved page load times.

I’m in Europe (I assume this is what you call “the other side”). I see 63.245.213.31 when pinging and times around 31-35ms, but mozilla gives me “The connection was reset”. Firewall or http-daemon problem?

  4. Was it rolled back or doesn’t Norway qualify as “the other side of the planet”? :)

Anyway, I still get served the Mountain View IP address, both when sending a request to my provider’s DNS address and when sending a request directly to ns2.mydyndns.org. I guess you are using a list of European IP subnets and mine isn’t in it. Too bad, the Amsterdam IP address does in fact have much better ping times for me.

  5. Yes. The public pages work pretty flawlessly and quickly. Nice work, mrz.

Unfortunately it was rolled back (and yes, Norway is on the other side of the plant from my perspective anyways).

    I’ll post about it later.
