Comcast, Boo!!

I just switched from Vonage to Comcast Digital Voice and noticed the following under Status on digitalvoice.comcast.net portal:

Firefox is currently not playing back voice mail messages correctly. Please consider an alternate browser such as Internet Explorer or Safari while we address the issue.

Seriously?

  1. I would say in this situation they should be cut some slack. It looks like they are designing it to work under all platforms, it just is experiencing some error with their site Firefox that they’re trying to resolve. That’s very different from many places that don’t *support* Firefox and think that’s OK.

    So apparently they’re saying it’s a bug in Firefox. No idea exactly where.

    (I work in Comcast’s internet service department and not phone service, so I’m not really familiar with this issue, but I thought I’d see if I had access to any info for you.)
